Rally Sweden publishes their seeded entry list draft on their website. Among the surprises are Frederic Sauvan in a Ford Focus WRC07 and Juho Hänninen in a Skoda Fabia Super2000, the later of the two set to improve the battle in the S2000 class even further.

Rally Sweden publishes entry list
Monday, January 18th, 2010Rally Norway final entrylist
Thursday, February 5th, 2009Yesterday was the last day for local entries in Rally Norway – and now the final list is published. Find it here:

The list isn’t very long, but I think that’s what we can expect from this years WRC – and it’s at last quite high quality so it wont be a big problem. However, you can’t avoid wondering about overseas rounds such as Argentina and Australia – what will they look like? I think we can be down in as low as around 30 competitors there, and that wont be really good.

Surprising points scorers in Ireland
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009As the official entrylist for Rally Ireland is published by the FIA, some surprises (at least to me) is revealed in the list. The M1 works teams does not (and can not) include any surprises with Loeb and Sordo in Citroen vs. Hirvonen and Latvala in Ford as their nominated point scorers.
However, the semi-works teams add a few surprises. First off, I didn’t expect both Henning Solberg and Urmo Aava to be nominated for Stobart, as I expected (well, not hoped) Matthew Wilson to be nominated. But this is not the only surprise. Also the Citroen Junior Team surprises by chosing Conrad Rautenbach instead of Sebastien Ogier as their points scorer alongside Chris Atkinson.
FIA WRC 2009 Entry list
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009FIA has released their entry list, without any news, for the WRC 2009. This list is probably to be modified, as M2 entries doesn’t have to be submitted until later in the season because of the fact that they doesn’t need to run more than 8 rallies.
