After scoring 13th place recently in his rally debut in the Arctic Rally, Finnish newspapers report today that Kimi Räikkönen will be back for the Vaakuna Rally the upcoming weekend. Obviously the debut in the Abarth Grande Punto made an impression (not a big surprise!) on the Formula 1 World Champion. Good to the rally sport – since Kimi is a true superstar that brings a lot of attention to the sport.

This is last week’s news – last Tuesday’s to be precise. Kimi brought big media attention to Arctic Lapland Rally, but he watered it all down by not giving almost any comments to anyone. Editorial to this month’s Vauhdin Maailma (or VM, finnish motorsport’s monthly) sums it all in rather critical manner. My bet is he’ll do the same – STFU – in Mikkeli, however he might contest for a place in top 10.
Didn’t know about that, but better late than never.
So anyway I think it deserves a post here. Didn’t know about Räikkönens “diva manner” on the Arctic Rally (just his general attitude). That’s boring, but it’s still better he’s in than out. Anyway, thanks for telling – it was good info!
